Over the years that the Abattoir has been in operation, the site has seen the introduction of new innovative measures to assist with obtaining the desired outcomes relating to Food Safety, OH&S Objectives and increased Production requirements.
These measures have been very diverse and have included a large variety of introductions bought about by both advancements within the Meat Industry and smaller internal alterations created through consideration of re-engineering new designs and layout.
Innovative measures over recent years have included the introduction of new wrapping machines on the production floor, this has provided the opportunity to increase product flow and greatly reduce the manual handling requirements of our employees.
Another major change is the complete design and rebuild of the boning room. Again the focus of this change is to allow for greater precision cutting, in conjunction with an ability for increased product throughput, in conjunction with reduced handling requirements.
Ongoing investigations continuing into other innovative ideas such as the introduction of Robotics to improve employee safety.
